The cost per litre of drinking water for EZ-AQUA 250B
The table below lists the setup and running costs for an EZ-AQUA 250B based on RRP inc GST ($AUD) and an average family of four drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water per day (2L) each, plus an extra 2L each for cooking and food preparation. It shows that the cost for EZ-AQUA 250B is $280.80 p/a for a 5-year product life. (Note that the water filter system hardware structure will last much longer than 5 years).
| EZ-AQUA 250B | PP filter | GC filter | BF filter | Total | |
| Year 1 | $278.00 | $38.00 | $316.00 | ||
| Year 2 | $76.00 | $58.00 | $138.00 | $272.00 | |
| Year 3 | $76.00 | $58.00 | $138.00 | $272.00 | |
| Year 4 | $76.00 | $58.00 | $138.00 | $272.00 | |
| Year 5 | $76.00 | $58.00 | $138.00 | $272.00 | |
| Av. cost/year | $280.80 | ||||
4L per person per day comes to 5840L per year. Cost-wise that works out to $280.80 ÷ 5840L = 4.8¢/L. That’s just 77¢/day. The equivalent in buying just 2l of water per person for a family of 4 (half the amount above) would be at least $1460 per year, saving $1179.20 per year, and you get to cook and wash your food in filtered water as well!
The significance of bacterial removal efficiency?
Microorganisms like bacteria can be cultured in laboratories.
These can then be applied to the inlet of a water filter system, and the water sample at the outlet can be taken and tested for the presence and volume of microorganisms, or bacteria. The ratio of bacteria present in the outlet vs. inlet then becomes the efficiency for bacteria removal of the water filter system.
Most water filter systems in the market have a BRE of 99.99% whereas EZ-AQUA 250B/BU is certified to have a BRE of 99.9999%

100% retention of health-promoting minerals in your drinking water for the whole family
100% removal of 10 μm particles, 99% removal of 3 μm particles (*1 μm = 1/1,000,000 metre, a human hair is between 40 and 100 μm thick).
Your drinking water is the foundation of health for you and your family. While water supplied by municipal water authorities is generally okay to drink, there is no guarantee that some undesirable substances will not be present in your tap water.
EZEK Technology has designed EZ-AQUA series water filter systems for the health and safety of global communities. We guarantee that EZ-AQUA water filter systems will filter out sediments, chemical substances, and microorganisms while holding health-promoting minerals.
Certified by and compliant with standards of several international water and food organizations.

Safety Information
- EZ-AQUA 250B/BU water filter systems are intended for use in suburban households where water is treated and supplied by municipal water authorities.
- If the water source is not treated sufficiently, the effective life span of the filters of EZ-AQUA 250B/BU may be shortened and more regular replacement may become necessary.
- For commercial venues, including restaurants, cafés, hotels, etc., EZ-AQUA 250B/BU filters may be overloaded and require more regular filter replacement.
- Suggested filter replacement timing is based on normal household usage under normal suburban water quality and conditions. The timing may need to be varied for conditions outside of these.
- If the filters are not replaced at the suggested timing and usage, the effectiveness of water filtration and water safety may be jeopardised.
- For the installation of the undersink water filter system, use electrical tools carefully. The use of cordless drills is recommended. Water is conductive and there is a risk of electric shock or electrocution.
- Use applicable protective clothing and equipment when installing the undersink water filter system.
- While EZ-AQUA 250B/BU comes pre-assembled and is quite easy to install, check with your local council for regulations on whether licensed trade people only are allowed to do even minor work involving domestic water supply.
- Failure to follow instructions in this manual may void warranty.
System overview
The EZ-AQUA 250B is preassembled with tubing and parts for it to be mounted on a kitchen bench next to the sink. Its inlet faucet valve simply attaches to the existing faucet aerator to provide filtered water via 3 stages of filtration at the flick of a switch.
Each of the three filters removes impurities, chemicals and microorganisms and improves the taste as shown in the diagram below:

Check the Inlet Water Pressure of your house before installation
Please check your household water pressure before installing this system.
The recommended maximum water pressure for EZEK Water Filter System is 72 psi (500 kPa) which is also the national standard for buildings in Australia. However, it is not uncommon to find water pressure well above this.
Water pressure above 72 psi (500 kPa) may damage the water filter system and void warranty, and/or cause flooding or leakage in your house.
For more information about how to check your household water pressure, and if necessary install a water pressure limiting valve, see our FAQ “Why you should check water pressure before installing a water filter?”
at: https://www.ilanwater.com.au/why-check-water-pressure-before-installing-a-water-filter/
For instructions on how to install a water pressure limiting valve, see our FAQ
at: https://www.ilanwater.com.au/how-to-install-a-water-pressure-limiting-valve/
The following tools and parts are required for the installation:
- A Phillips head or slot head, blade width 4 ~ 6mm (5/32 ~ ¼”) screwdriver.
- A pair of pliers or pluming pliers.
- Thread seal tape.
Installation steps:
- Investigate the benchtop around the sink area and pick a spot for the filter system assembly.
- There are many types of faucet aerators in the households, the three most common ones are:
- Female thread aerator
- Male thread aerator
- Unthreaded aerator (normally brass)

- For a. female thread aerator, follow these steps:

- For b. male thread aerator, follow these steps:

- For c. unthreaded aerator, follow these steps:

Operation guide
How to use
With the lever on the inlet faucet in vertical position, turn on the cold water handle and collect drinking water from the gooseneck spout. When the water filter system needs maintenance, e.g. for filter replacement, switch the lever on the inlet faucet to cut off the cold water.
When to change filters
Based on an average of 4 members per household and each member drinks and uses up to 4L of water per day, the timing for replacement for each filter with its filter capacity can be calculated using the tables below:

Where the number of persons or the daily usage varies from the table above, the tables below can be used as a guide for alternative timing for filter replacement.

The listed filter capacity is the amount of “average municipal water” that can run through before the filter is clogged to the extent that water quality cannot be guaranteed. If the filters are not replaced at the suggested timing and usage, the effectiveness of water filtration and safety may be jeopardised.
How to change filters
To replace one or more filters, follow these steps:

1) Turn off the kitchen faucet. Place EZ-AQUA 250B in the sink.

2) Release the old filter you want to change by holding the filter module base with one hand and rotate the filter counter-clockwise using the other hand. After you hear five clicks, lift the old filter upwards to remove it from the base.
3) Hold the new filter with one hand and turn it anti-clockwise to tighten it onto the base.
4) Wipe the filter cartridge base clean and place it back to the normal location.
